Sheila joined Chads in 1987 and brought with her a wealth of experience from her time at Jordanhill College, Glasgow University Arts Theatre Group and Manchester University Stage Society. She even played a cameo role with Cambridge University players at the Minack in Cornwall. Even when she and Paul moved to the USA she continued her involvement with theatre, joining the New Hampshire Theater Project which focussed on young people. Once a member of Chads, she quickly became involved with many aspects of life at the theatre. She was a gifted actor with a commanding stage presence and a sensitive director who always had a clear vision for her production but was also willing to listen to the suggestions of her cast. Amongst many roles which Sheila undertook over the years, she especially enjoyed working with Chads Youth. She was vibrant, outgoing, forthright and kind with a deep empathy for young people. Her Christmas productions were always great fun. For several years, Sheila was Theatre Secretary and Child Protection Officer. She was always a hardworking contributor to Front of House duties. And socially she was the heart and soul of our Ladies Who Lunch group. Sheila suffered a long illness but did so with quiet determination and a positive attitude thanks to her lovely family and especially her four young grandchildren.

With love from all her friends at Chads
